Sexton has also worked with the City of Denton, Texas employees in the areas of business writing and communication. Sexton was a good professor. The class consists of a business plan which takes a lot of time as well as 3 exams. You MUST study or there's no way to pass his class.

If you keep up on everything, you should be golden! He skips through the powerpoints, and tests are extremely difficult, even if you pay attention in class. Only take if you have to! Great professor, one of the best I've had at UNT. Kind man, interesting lectures, but ridiculous exams.

It isn't about knowing the material and being able to critically apply the concepts, it is about remembering random and insignificant facts from the notes. One of the exam questions was actually "what is supposed to covered in section 17 of the business plan?

Prof Sexton is an average instructor, he teaches with powerpoint which he submits online before class but he gets easily distracted and talks about his own life- his church businesses, etc. He goes through the pps fast so you'll have to re read them sometimes but he is good about telling you which ones to focus on.

Sexton did an excellent job with keeping me and the other students interested in the lectures. I went to every single lecture which really paid off. The tests were very hard, and you're expected to study many hours for them, but other than the test, the course load wasn't heavy. Make study groups, talk to the other people in the class.

The class work is very easy but the tests are VERY hard. They barely relate to the book or lecture. When he lectures he skips through most of the powerpoint. The class is more for credit, but I learned close to nothing. I wouldn't take the class unless you have to. Professor Sexton gives 3 online exams and 1 final in class. He is very nice but during his lectures he says random information that will probably be on the exam.

There are also many group projects with very clear instructions that you have to follow or you get no credit. Basically take him if you have no other choice. All tests are online except final. He has high expectations and will call you out in front of everyone. Ads can be annoying, but they allow us to provide you this resource for free.
